A Client Money Protection scheme does not act on behalf of the letting agent. It is an independent membership body that provides the protection of client money whilst held by its members and the Scheme insures its liability for the payment of any claims.

The Property Ombudsman
The Property Ombudsman (TPO) scheme provides consumers and property agents with an alternative dispute resolution service for 25 years and provides consumers with a free, impartial and independent alternative dispute resolution service.
The Ombudsman’s resolutions are designed to achieve a full and final settlement of the dispute and all claims made by either party.
